Stephen Hendry is bringing his championship experience to a different kind of table. The seven-time snooker world champion has become the newest global ambassador of 8 Ball Strike through an exclusive partnership with AviaGames.
For players who enjoy online pool games, the announcement introduces a campaign that connects a familiar mobile pastime with one of cue sports’ most accomplished names. Under the theme STRIKE LIKE A LEGEND, Hendry will appear across guided training, career-inspired content, signature cues, and special gameplay challenges.
8 Ball Strike uses timed rounds in which players aim to pocket balls and build their scores. Identical starting setups make the decisions within each round central to the experience. Hendry’s involvement adds a connection to professional cue sports as players develop their own approach to the table.
Stephen Hendry Brings His Championship Legacy to 8 Ball Strike
Hendry won seven World Snooker Championship titles, including five in succession between 1992 and 1996. His attacking approach and ability to produce difficult shots under pressure helped shape the way a generation of fans understood the sport.
Snooker and pool have different rules, but both ask players to think carefully about the table. Pocketing a ball is one part of the task. Choosing an angle and considering where the cue ball will finish can determine the options available afterward.
That shared emphasis on decision-making gives Hendry’s arrival relevance beyond his name. His career provides a sporting story for players to discover through the campaign.
Learn the Game With Rack Up with Hendry
One of the announced experiences is Rack Up with Hendry, which introduces the champion as an in-game tutorial coach alongside seven days of beginner-friendly missions.
For someone opening the game for the first time, this provides a guided introduction with a recognisable figure leading the experience. The seven-day format also gives newcomers a defined set of missions to work through as they become familiar with the game.
The tutorial is one of several ways AviaGames is bringing Hendry into 8 Ball Strike. It places him at the beginning of the player experience, where a clear introduction can help make the first few sessions easier to follow.
Explore Hendry’s Career Through the 7-Crown Challenge
The 7-Crown Challenge draws on the accomplishments behind Hendry’s reputation. The announcement previews Hendry-inspired Battle Pass content, career-themed challenges, and Legendary Moments celebrating his achievements.
For longtime snooker followers, those references offer a connection to a sporting career they already know. Players discovering Hendry through the game can encounter that history through the campaign’s activities.
This gives the partnership a story that extends beyond the ambassador reveal. His achievements become a theme players can follow as further details are announced.
Stephen Hendry Signature Cues and Gameplay Challenges
The Stephen Hendry Signature Cues will arrive in two separate releases. The lion-inspired cue will launch on November 17, followed by the chibi-style Hendry cue on December 15. Both designs bring the seven-time world champion’s signature style to 8 Ball Strike, giving players two distinct looks to discover during the campaign.
Hendry’s High-Stakes takes another approach, with special gameplay challenges inspired by his real-world play. This part of the campaign turns attention toward the decisions involved in a shot and how players read the opportunities in front of them.
Participation details and information about what players can unlock will follow in further campaign updates.
